Cristina Pavey has been in the health field since 1999, as therapist. Originally from Portugal , has been residing in the USA for the last 12 years. Her studies started in Portugal in Chinese Medicine and Reiki. In the USA became Reiki Master, Reflexologist, Massage Therapist, Sound Healer, African improvisational drummer, Intuitive Painting Artist. She studied with Jonathan Goldman in 2007 in Colorado, and became a certified Sound Healer. She began to teach her workshops on Sacred Sound shortly after, in Michigan, where she resides. She has attended some retreats by William Rand (Reiki Master) where she and her husband Chuck Pavey played the African Drums. My intention when doing this workshop is to bring forward the Awareness that is needed to recognize the Divine in each and everyone. The Sacred Sound is a vehicle of great transformation to our beings, and right now Planet Earth needs all of us to contribute to a greater Consciousness to spread Light, Love and Peace. In this 7 hour program, you will learn some breathing techniques to enhance your voice, like diaphragmatic breathing and resonate breathing with Sound, to bring balance to both of your brain hemispheres. The importance on how to release your emotions through your voice and make sounds to help you relax. Toning will be taught by exercising the Sacred Vowels to each Chakra, and the Bija Mantras adding Mudras (special hand positions to help opening the chakras). Overtoning also called Harmonics, will be demonstrated and taught. These are the most powerful regenerative healing sounds performed by Voice. With practice and openness of heart you can perform these sounds as well! It will be an interactive workshop where hands on is a must! No musical background required.
